The Appalachian Mission Center in Louisa, Kentucky and the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Charity Council would appreciate donations of household goods, including small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, sheets, blankets, towels, men’s clothing and children’s clothing and toys for people living in isolated areas in the mountains of Kentucky and West Virginia.
If you wish to learn more about the Mission, their website is www.fatherbeiting.org
According to the Director of Operations, Dominic Capria:
“When considering your donation, please keep in mind that broken items or items that are harshly used are more of a burden than a blessing. We have a LARGE inventory of women’s clothing. Please refrain from donating women’s clothing.”
A complete list of items needed (and not needed) can be found at www.kofc14406.org.
If it is not on the list, please donate locally.
The collection is only ONE DAY this year.
Please bring your donations to the 53’ trailer in the St. Basil church parking lot on:
Saturday, September 17th 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Many volunteers are needed to help with this project. If you are able to help in any capacity, please sign up at www.kofc14406.org . You will be glad you took the time.
If you have further questions, please contact Ken Peters at 216-849-1434.
