Christ and the Apostolic Witness: Understanding the New Testament

August 4 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A comprehensive introduction to the New Testament, exploring the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the early Church’s witness to the Gospel. Students will journey through the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Pauline and Catholic Epistles, and the Book of Revelation, examining how Christ fulfills the Old Testament promises and establishes the New Covenant. Topics include the Incarnation and ministry of Jesus, the Paschal Mystery, Pentecost and the birth of the Church, apostolic mission and teaching, and the Christian hope for Christ’s return. Emphasizing Catholic interpretation, the course integrates Scripture with Tradition, highlighting the sacramental and ecclesial dimensions of the New Testament and their expression in the Church’s liturgical and moral life. No prior biblical knowledge required, but students are encouraged to complete MMGSI 111 Covenant and Blessing prior to taking this course, if possible.
