Our celebration of Eucharist-our call to worship-is central to the mission and ministry of St. Basil the Great. At the table of the Lord, we are not only renewed spiritually, but also transformed as a community. How we pray, individually, and as a parish family, is important to us.

Because our worship is vital to our Christian formation, we empower a parish Worship Commission to prayerfully create, plan, and execute the liturgical seasons of our church year. Essentially, any celebration of Eucharist or experience of prayer is the responsibility of this commission.

The Worship Commission is comprised of representatives from the parish and from the various liturgical ministries. Parishioners with a prayerful interest in liturgical planning, art and environment, and music are welcome to share in the direction of this commission. In fact, “full, active, and conscious participation” is desired not only at Mass, but also in creating sacred, joy-filled experiences of worship including celebration of the sacraments.
