Catholic Heart WorkCamp

logo

Catholic HEART Workcamp (CHWC) is an opportunity for teens to serve the needy in urban areas of the United States. St. Basil the Great has been sending groups of teens to experience CHWC for several years.

Teams will work on projects including painting, yard work, indoor/outdoor clean-up, home maintenance and repair on existing homes, helping with children at daycare centers, and helping at centers that distribute food to the needy. No experience is necessary! After your work day, eveningprograms will be filled with activities, music, skits, videos, testimonies from teens, motivational speakers, and prayer.

If you are a teen interested in working on this project, or an adult who would like to serve as a chaperone, please contact the Youth Minister for more information.

As soon as next year’s trip is scheduled,
registrations will be available on the main LifeTeen page!

Servants 4 Christ

Servants for Christ  (S4C) is a local service project St. Basil’s and other local parishes participate in.  S4C is usually 3-4 days long, with community service during the days and retreat portions during the evenings.  Adult chaperones are needed to lead work crews of teenagers as they work on projects including painting, yard work, indoor/outdoor clean-up, home maintenance and repair on existing homes, helping with children at daycare centers, and helping at centers that distribute food to the needy.

No experience is necessary! After your work day, evening programs will be filled with activities, music, skits, videos, testimonies from teens, motivational speakers, and prayer.

This is a great project because it is local, inexpensive, hosted at one of the parishes participating, and makes an impact with our own parishioners and neighbors.

Our teenagers have loads of fun on this week and the Holy Spirit truly blesses everyone’s involvement and work.  Join us this year!
