Upcoming Events

November 19  –  Rebecca Moreland, Executive Director Of Rahab Ministries.-“Bring Me A Vision”

Did you know that Ohio is 2nd in the country for human trafficking?

Our next speaker will be Rebecca Moreland, founder of RAHAB Ministries. RAHAB is a non-profit ministry of volunteers devoted to rescuing and restoring women who are trafficked into prostitution in Akron Ohio. The heart of RAHAB Ministries is compassion. They come alongside women who are trapped in the life-and-death struggle of prostitution and drugs. Then they stay and refuse to see them as different from ourselves. They show how Christ’s love for them can flow through us. Ms Moreland will speak about how the lord led her to founding REHAB and how the Holy Spirit has guided her along the way.

Starting with a small group of volunteers walking the streets of Akron to reach prostituted  and drug addicted women, RAHAB has grown to include a drop-in center, a safe house, outreach ministries that reach women in strip clubs and jails, and a ministry to minor victims of sex trafficking.

Join us for the next St. Basil the Great women’s breakfast and speaker on Sunday, November 19, from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center.
