St. Basil’s sponsors boys and girls basketball teams for grades 3-12.  Registration occurs in September and October.  Practices begin in November and competition begins in December and continues through mid-March.  Practices are typically held on week nights and competitions are scheduled for either Saturday or Sunday.  CYO also offers cheerleading and wrestling winter programs.  Parishioners interested in these additional sports not sponsored at St. Basil’s, may be eligible to participate in a neighboring parish’s program.

2017-18 St. Basil Basketball Site Coordinators Needed!

  • Girls and Boys teams are now forming for the 2017-2018 CYO basketball season. The Gym in the Family Life Center is a great facility and our teams enjoy having some home games during the basketball season.  In order to host CYO games, Site Coordinators are needed to manage game days at the FLC Gym.  It involves interacting with the teams and officials and managing the facility on game days.  Site Coordinators are paid for their time by the Athletic Association.  If you are interested in helping and would like more information about the opportunity, please contact the St. Basil Athletic Director, Joe Canzano at 440.465.1850.  We are hoping to identify 2 or more individuals to share the duties and enable us to have home games for the St. Basil Basketball Teams.
